Keep up (phrasal verb)
1- Meaning: If somebody or something keeps you up, you cannot go to bed. يسهر – يقلق – يجله لاينام
For example:
- keep sb up : The noise from my neighbour’s party kept me up most of the night.
- keep sb up : It’s getting late so I’d better head home. I don’t want to keep you up past your bedtime.
- I had to finish the report, and it kept me up until 4 a.m.
2- Keep up with : يواكب
We must rise with education to keep up with advanced countries.
